Award-winning Boston photographer Glenn Kulbako was raised in Schenectady, NY, then attended college at Boston University and McGill University. He has been an editorial, public relations and stock photographer since 1986. His clients include Apple, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CNN, DaimlerChrysler, Fidelity Investments, Forbes, Harvard University, the John F. Kennedy Library, Microsoft, New York Times Publishing, Oxford University Press, Time/Newsweek and Warner Bros. Glenn provides and supervises photography nationwide. In addition to Boston and New England, Glenn frequently shoots in New York City and has new operations in Austin, Texas and Sydney, Australia. Recent work can be viewed at: KulbakoPhoto.com/blog He has also developed extensive portfolios in portraiture, product photography, food photography, performance art imagery, architectural, equestrian and sports photography. Glenn enjoys capturing things as they are in their environment and moment in time, reflecting his roots in spontaneous photojournalism. His ability to interpret a concept with meaningful images is key in synthesizing the client's vision -- while always keeping the project affordable and on schedule. Unlike most professional photographers, Glenn doesn't routinely license photographs or seek royalties. This makes business effortless for clients, who would otherwise have to seek permission or pay fees for multiple use images. At the end of each assignment, Glenn presents a copy of the photographs' high-resolution digital files to the client, so that they can make prints, post images on their website, or publish them as many times as they choose. Glenn has been published in media outlets including The New York Times, Newsweek, CNN, the Boston Globe, Boston Common and Boston Magazine. He has illustrated textbooks for the Oxford University Press, McGraw Hill, and more. He recently had a still in the Oscar-winning Warner Brothers film, "The Departed." He has provided editorial and product images for industrial films, web sites and annual reports for Daimler Chrysler, General Electric, the Smithsonian Institute, Air Tran, and more. Glenn has as regular clients many major Boston area institutions, universities, hospitals and non-profit organizations such as Harvard University, Tufts University, the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center and Blue Cross (see sample list below). In addition to illustrating in-house publications and internet services provided by the client, he provides documentation and prints for conferences, conventions, dinners and gala events. He often works in four-star venues like the Kennedy Library, the Boston Convention Center, Gillette Stadium, the Copley Fairmont Hotel, the Westin, Marriott and Intercontinental Hotels. Glenn's range of abilities and interests also take him to New England and major U.S. and Canadian city locations for corporate, studio-style and environmental portraits — as well as location and architectural photography. But he is just as at home on a farm, in a chef's kitchen, a medical lab or sports/rock arena creating editorial images of town and country. Glenn travels or partners with other photographers to cover all New England states (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut), New York City, Austin, Texas and beyond for assignments. He is frequently seen in Boston, Manhattan, on Cape Cod, in Providence, Newport, the White Mountains and Berkshires shooting for corporations, publishers, private parties and stock agencies. Glenn is currently represented by Getty Images and Photolibrary. Glenn Kulbako Photography was named Small Business of the Year by the City of Somerville, MA.
